Trivia

• The name could be a reference to the Portuguese man o' war , a dangerous jellyfish-like creature given the ship does look like a jellyfish. 
• Man of War is also the name of British Royal Navy expression for a powerful warship or frigate from the 16th to the 19th century.

The Stormwalker starts with a teleporter but lacks a medbay, resulting in reliance on the Healing Burst to heal crew members.

Earning two of the three Slug Cruiser achievements will unlock Layout B.

Trivia

Given that Slugs live in Nebulas the name could be a reference to the fact that this ship is made to go through such Nebulas

"Slugs are often skilled in the arts of misdirection and manipulation. With Hacking and Mind Control systems, this ship capitalizes on that fact."

The Ariolimax starts with Hacking and Mind Control, making it effective at disrupting an enemy ship.
As a side note, be aware that if you replace the Cloning bay, its Medbay has only one space.

Unlock
Reaching sector 8 with the Slug Cruiser B on any difficulty with Advanced Edition Content enabled will unlock layout C.

Trivia
Ariolimax is the genus of the banana slug. This explains the yellow color of the ship.

• Home Sweet Home - Jump to 30 nebula locations before sector 8.
• Disintegration Ray - While using the Slug Cruiser, kill 3 enemy crew members with one shot from the Anti-Bio Beam.
